because you havent exactly stumbled on something here. add to the face the ratings can just add a new fighter to the rankings whenever they chose.
Wasnt trying to stumble on anything smartass. The major gripe is the fact that we have 42 different ****ing fighters in each org at this very given moment. God knows whats it like around 140 to 147. or lower weights where we have a hundred weight divisions with a hundred belts. Its so unclear who is who, who is the best, who is a legit champion. C. Froch isnt a real champion, if boxing just had a 175 division...A. Ward would boss it right now- Real no **** rankings- Lets just think real time, lets be ****ing real here. 200 plus Heavy 200 Cruiser 175 Light-Heavy 160 Middleweight 147 Welterweight 135 Lightweight 126 Featherweight 122 Batamweight All fighters would have to abide by these 8 weight classes, no other catchweight ****, no other division, keep the 4 major orgs then you dont have a champion avoiding the real threats like Patterson did to Liston. All 5 orgs have to have monthly meetings and agree on a universal top 15. Lets be real, let look at how this simple scenario would look in say the LightHavy division and the Welterweight. Light-Heavyweight 1. A. Ward 2. M. Kessler 3. C. Dawson 4. C. Froch 5. B. Hopkins 6. J. Pascal 7. L. Bute 8. A. Abraham 9. T. Cloud 10. N. Cleverly Welter 147 1. F. Mayweather 2. J.M.M.Marquez 3. M. Pacquaio 4. D. Garcia 5. T. Bradley 6. R. Guerrero 7.D. Alexander 8. K. Brook 9. A. Berto 10. M. Cotto
Most of those rankings come from holding regional belts. Nonsense fighters like Pudvar (PABA), Charr (WBC International Silver) and Oquendo (WBA Fedelatin champ) manage high rankings due to this. The awful Chauncy Welliver used to be king of this being ranked in several orgs due to holding the (WBO Asia Pacific heavyweight title), (New Zealand National Boxing Federation (NZNBF), (WBC Asian Boxing Council heavyweight title), (WBO Oriental heavyweight title), (WBC Continental Americas heavyweight title) and the (WBO China Zone heavyweight) title all around the same time.
BREAKING NEWS: Boxing Sanctioning Bodies Have Awful Rankings In other news, champions don't always fight the best contenders and fans and the media STILL follow all this bull****.
