Good post. But regarding the bit highlighted, I really doubt Froch will be fighting carelessly. He only charged in against Bute and Mack because they were hurt prey. This time round I'm convinced he's gonna' try and box Kessler like he did Abraham, and only go for the kill when he knows Kessler is there for the taking. All this talk about it's gonna' be a brutal war, is bollocks. Froch ain't tryna' engage in that. He's gonna' fight smart. He knows it's Kessler that'll be the one resorting to aggression, trying to silence the crowd and making an impression on the judges.
Froch can't box Kessler like he boxed Abraham. If he did that he would be punished with counters. Kessler won't be standing there like a punching-bag! :bart
Actually I don't think Froch will fight carelessly either, as I said in my original post: Froch has made it public, that he will stop Kessler before the 9th round, and it will become a war. If that is true, Kessler has a much better chance than if Froch boxes the match sensibly (which I actually think he will). When Froch applies that tactic, I think Kessler (with improved eyesight and Montoyas training ) will be much better than in their first fight to use lateral movement to evade Froch, and thus negate Frochs reach advantage. Another factor, I think will make a difference in this fight: Kesslers jab. His accuracy has improved, so it will be hitting Froch more often. But Kesslers jab is not only accurate, it is very powerful. Former opponents and sparring partners have often said, that the most frustrating thing about Kesslers jab is, that it is not an annoying slap, but hurts, and feels like a solid straight right every time it connects. If Froch gets peppered with enough of those, it could make him angry enough to abandon an initially careful plan, and go to war, thus setting him up for Kesslers devastating counterpunches...
many great quotes here!! I think Kessler will fight alot smarter than the first fight. He has been injuryfree for a long time..and the last 3 fights has not been wars and i think Kessler is way more accurate again, after his lay off. Carl Froch is allways a dangerous guy, because of his big heart. But the fight is a 50/50 fight...But i will be rooting for Kessler. But i also think it´s great that they are "friends" and treating eachother with respect..to be honest i didn´t liked Froch before...but today i find him a true gentleman,a warrior, and he is funny too But i am dane so i have to back up "my" guy.. But the fans are the winners here
Froch wins because: - Theres gonna be massive Froch fans cheering.. - Froch has the better jab, because of his reach. - Froch is more hungry - Froch has a stronger will. - Froch has explosive power. Kessler wins because: - Has movement like 2007 - NO eye problems - Are used to fighting outside Denmark against big crowds - Are the better overall fighter. - Have a plan B now an maybe C. thats why its so difficult to tell who will end up winning... It could go by Froch ko, or Kessler ko... Froch could win because of the crowd.. Or it could go like I voted, a draw.. I think Kessler will be the aggressor again, and hunting Froch up the robes.. thats for sure.. Kessler allways did this... I think Kessler will be better moving away when Froch charges.. Kessler only won the last fight becase of the Crowd.. Without the crowd I dont think Kessler could pull that much energy in the last rounds... Froch is a machine.. He never gets tired..
jermain taylor almost -well should have -ko'd froch. If kessler fights more of a technical fight he can break him down, especially via the body.
Stopped reading after first paragraph. "Froch has clearly faded"?????....How is it possibile for you to be so clueless all the time?
Carl Froch cosplaying as Kratos: (no, really) [yt]9CzJ63Ee8J4[/yt] He is making a mistake, IMO, if he thinks he can go full on God of War in the ring and believing his own pitch about being ever more unstoppable and that Kessler can't afford to stand in front of him. He is a hard *******, but it's foolish to underestimate Mikkel Kessler just because you steamrolled Lucian Bute and Yusaf Mack.
