Martinez said he would fight Mayweather at 154 or even 150, Floyd still refuses! Why?

Martinez has no fan base...has he even been a headliner in his own PPV?

 

as much as I like Martinez the **** Mayweather gets is crazy you realize right now between 140-160 the is currently only 3 fights scheduled now between guys in the top 5 of the division Garcia-Judah Mayweather-Guerrero and Alvarez-Trout. I'm kind of torn with a possible Martinez-Mayweather match-up both are two of my favorite fights right now but looking at it there is no way the winner of this fight could ever get full credit
at 154 if martinez wins it's a GREAT win and would be one of the best wins in the last decade but if Mayweather wins its going to be looked at as him draining another fighter
at 160 if Martinez wins so what he's a middle weight picking on a welter but if Mayweather wins it's a Great victory undefeated in six weight classes and undisputed at 160. I think both fighters realize that

It makes you wonder why Martinez is competing at 160 fighting the likes of Barker, Macklin and Murray if he could make 154 comfortably with much bigger money fights on offer fighting the likes of Mayweather, Cotto and Canelo.

If he wants the fight then move down and make a statement in the division rather than staying at 160 and fighting euro level opposition.

Well, it has to be said, these are the kind of fights you take the chance on if you really want to cement an incredible legacy and he's not willing to do that. For Floyd it's always been more about the money and finishing with his 0 in tact. If that's how he wants to play it, that's cool.
