Howard Foster. to be fair though he had given them both a stern warning the round before.

 

Sad really is, I remember as a kid fighting down in Southampton in a Kickboxing show. Still in primary school those days, Went down there and fought a kid from Walton & Hersham or somewhere like that. Put him down numerous times IIRC it was 5-6 times he went over and got back up to his credit. I basically battered him from pillar to post without stopping him. I used boxing, Steamed him and he couldn't get his kicks off bar one or two that landed each round.

Lost the fight on points on a technical as i threw no kicks :-(. Floods of tears as i exited that ring with people saying i won but it didn't change the result. I was going to chore the lads winners medal as i won in my heart but didn't because i'm nice like that. I sit there think back to then and compare it to how it must feel for a man to sacrifice time away from children and wife and friends and put money into things and graft so hard even on days your under weather and then perform better then your opponent and to be robbed of it because someone isn't watching the fight properly or is bent is a disgrace.

Must be so draining physically and mentally and must knock wind out of sails. Boxing isn't like football where you have long careers and get loads of cracks at titles. Boxing isn't a sport for massive longevity bar obvious exceptions and for Curtis he's in prime years and transitioned from another sport and fought good level operators pretty much from get go. This has set his chances for British title back even further and through no fault of his own.

 

Based on what I am seeing this is BS. Curtis is a good lad but it sounds like everyone knows who deserved the nod. Rematch!

very close fight,considering everyone is being bias to mr nice lad woodhouse im going to be unbias and give my ringside analysis.
round 1 singleton easy,wobbled woodhouse and got his respect.
2 singleton again
3 woodhouse
4 singleton
5 im gonna give singleton ,was close,think he got cut
6,7,8,9, woodhouse,althought singy completely outjabbed him woodhouse was the presure fiighter
10 was a 10/8 round to singy,fought with him and out fought him.
even the woodhouse fans in front of me thought it was really close.

all way through the fight woodhouse was on the front foot,but not throwing much with singy outjabbing him.
woodhouse shocked me with his hitting after break(which the ref told him twice before the point loss in the 10th) and his constant use of his head in close,he looked frustrated all the way through.

and lets be ****ing honest,dave the rave parris scores you the winner,you know you have ****ing lost.
happy for singleton,known him a long time,no robbery at all, a close fight which would of been a draw if not for woodhouse blatant dirty work.

infact being unbias again,going into the last i turned to my old trainer and said he aint gonna get this unless he stands with him.
the cut put him off his game and he didnt throw his righ for 3 rounds,be interested to know if he hurt it with the ammount of uppercuts he hit him with in the 1st four rounds.

Judging by Twitter and the BoxRec forum, it looks like he may be calling it a day. Would be a shame that, and an awful way to leave the sport.

Hatton had one of the best up jabs in world boxing few years back. Drop weight over the front leg and drive upwards and throw jab upwards as mentioned. Diagonal seem through the guard..
