Sure, he might not be your best friend if you're fighting him, but thats what Bernard is, a dog... hes true to his feelings.
You can clearly see his cheek bones. Doesn't look good to me. He did mention in an interview that he was finding it difficult to lose weight. (which is pretty obvious at the age of 48)

Gotta agree with that. Bhop's style is exploiding holes on the boxing text book. This can be effective, but is like trying to win 100 meter dash at the olympics by using a new kind of shoes that gives 20% extra speed and have not been taken into account in the rule books and thus may not be illigal... it may be effective, but it is not what people want to see when they came to see 100 meter dash. They come to see the best runners, not who could bend the rules in the smartest ways...
