Super Six was not even on the radar or even mooted when Hopkins beat Pavlik.

The risk/ reward isn't worth it for Froch. If he beats Bhop he beats up an old man, if he loses, his legacy takes a huge hit.

Besides, it would be an ugly fight either way, no interest in seeing it tbh.

I think Hopkins could do it tbh, Froch is unlikely to stop him people are going way overboard about his power and he has little boxing ability as well imo. He would have to rely on his fittness but Hopkins has a way of lowering people's work-rate.

Agreed. Cleverly is pretty good, would like to see how he would do.

Bhop is a master at the craft and he still has his legs but his workrate is low. Froch brings a fight the whole 12 rounds. I can see Bhop being out worked in a fan unfriendly fight.

Great legacy fight for either man, but is anyone really expecting excitement here?

This is going to be a horrible stinker of a fight filled with clinching, rabbit punches, "accidental" headbutts, wild misses (from Froch), lots of complaining from Hopkins and a close and probably quite debatable decision at the end of it. Basically Calzaghe Hopkins Mk II in slow motion.

I won't ever count the old man out, but Froch has plenty of canniness and grit of his own, and if they fight in the UK then he'll be allowed to get away with all sorts, especially if they get that bloke who reffed Haye Ruiz.

Froch has a much better boxing brain than people give him credit for. He's also unafraid to throw junk punches from less than optimal punching positions and his raw strength allows him to generate respectable power at quite close range without needing to employ the full motion of his body.

He won't come close to stopping Hopkins of course, but he'll at the very least make him respect his power.

I like Froch alot, but he is an old slow past best SMW who is recognised due to a weak era, a competition, and lives off the fact that the era is so weak he could give the recognised SMW champ a tough fight losing a close decision.
Even at the age Hopkins is at now, I would favour Hopkins to outpoint Froch.
The fighter that would get to Hopkins is Cleverly, who would outpoint Hopkins

I give Froch a better chance than everyone at 175 besides Dawson. Froch doesn't get scared, doesn't tire, and believe in his boxing. Hopkins COULD win, of course.

    I'll take a draw. :smoke
