Who should burns fight next

does burns deal with Rees in the same fashion broner did ? I think so! I think Kevin Mitchell is better than rees and look how burns handled him. Burns victory over Mitchell didnt get half the hype broners did over Rees but it was a better win IMO.

 

Thats cos it was on boxnation and about 30 folk outside the boxin world knew it was on, if he back on sky he will mibee get the publicity he deserves

Assuming he is with Matchroom (& not tied up in a lengthy legal battle) then he'll probably face someone fairly obscure.

Just checked the WBO rankings & there are no Argies there so Eddie is gonna have to think outside the box on this one.

 

any fight that is not a unifaction match is a backward step in terms of career progression, could set his career back and really look back as a missed oprtunity with Vazquez and Broner

 

The Sun said that too,although they're saying they have evidence of the offer from GBP,and seem pretty emphatic about it.

It's no secret he turned down Broner,but the money wasn't enough to make going to fight with half a camp against a guy who could make him look bad in front of a big audience worth it.
It was a sound business decision,and all the armchair ATG's who would fight everyone on the P4P list in the same week need to get real here.
Also worth noting that Burns and Morrison are down a packet here.A softer fight at the SECC to try and recover some of the scratch is highly likely IMO.

 

i actually thought FW would have got him in after he beat Derry now he is European champion why not but still a major backwards step from a unifaction

If burns fights anyone but Vazquez it is a huge disappointment and it's going to make me question his ambition to fight the best.
