Which one do you like to watch and why?

Wlad is a slow starter, usually nutrilizes people with his jab and hug... Bernard is an old man who has to conserve energy so he also uses tactics that slow down the pace of the fight.

Both are regarded as somewhat boring fighters, however both are phenomenal at what they do.

I am a Wlad fan but mostly because he is a class act (outside the ring) and i watched his fights for over a decade. Didn't follow Bernard as closly, but aknowledge that he has a legendery career, but don't like his dirty antics.

Does anyone here like one but not the other? and why?

they are both pretty boring to watch but hopkins has his moments of skill and wlad gets the KO's in the end so they offer some pay off to their shitty style.

Both boring as **** to watch, but Bhop is a master of his craft and faces far superior opponents.

    use to be Hopkins..

actually, it still is Hopkins(i rarely watch Klit fights), it's just that he's finally reached Klitschko level of non-entertainment.

but it's nice to watch the old man work.

I prefer Hopkins, there's more variation in his work. Also the opposition he faces is much better in my opionion

I haven't watched either in some time.

B-Hop is boring in the ring and goes off on stupid, often racist tangents. However, he fights far superior opposition so I have seen many more of his fights.

Wlad, as great of a guy as he is, is completely unwatchable. I gave him one last go against Haye and the man refused to engage. Love him as a sportsman, admire him as an individual, but I'm not watching his fights.

On an entertainment level I prefer to watch Hopkins because his fights are closer due to his age. On the other hand Hopkins isn't the best in his division and I believe could be beaten by more than one person at SMW. If Hopkins lost people would talk about it, but it wouldn't be huge news like Wlad losing- so his fights are smaller events in that respect. Also the guarantee of B-Hop fights going 12 rounds takes something away

Hopkins is the old master and it's great to see him performing at world class level at the age of 48- astonishing really. Wlad is the single best boxer on the planet right now in that nobody would be favourite to beat him head to head. That will always draw interest, and there's almost always going to be a stoppage in a Wlad fight. The problem is there's nobody left for him to fight

I prefer to watch Hopkins fights. He can slip shots on the inside and just doesn't have to rely on keep his opponent at range and hold when in close. Hopkins has greater variety and due to his age his fights tend to be more competitive.

Though to be fair to Wlad I actually enjoyed his fight against Wach, he set a decent pace for once and wasn't afraid to commit with his power shots throughout the fight. Hopefully he can continue with this more aggressive yet still controlled approach.

    Hopkins footwork > Wlad fights:yep
I gave up on Wlad when there was 16 clinches in 1st round vs Mormeck that was the final straw, so much talent producing so much boredom its amazing.

Wlad by default, because I never could get into watching the lower weight classes.

It has just never appealed to me. I blame it on growing up in the Tyson era.

Wlad was also more aggressive than usual against Thompson. I predicted this style against Wach in what I call the "under 6'5, and over 6'5" strategy for Wlad.
The reason Wladimir can fight like this (these two different styles) is because his size and strength are his advantage against the smaller fighters, and his athleticism is his advantage against the bigger fighters.

Hopkins is just as boring and horrible to watch as Wlad. Of course, he's American so that gives him the 'excitement' factor for some... which is totally ridiculous.

Anyone pissing on Wlad has to **** on Hopkins.

BHop if you want to study the craft of boxing. He is a textbook on the subject. At 48...to make fighter after fighter play HIS game and lose...is astounding.

You can see every little trick in the book when he fights...he takes away your jab, makes you lose confidence that you're in control of the pace, the ring, the action. Slowly but surely, you're in his fight after 6 rounds, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Wlad is awesome, but he should probably retire at this point. He's too good for his own good, and the HW division doesn't stand any chance of catching up to him at this point.
