:huh I'm not going to say they're great when they are the worst commentating team I've seen in all of sports. I don't mind Showtime, especially when Tarver was there. Is that positive enough for you sweetie?

I used to hate Kellerman, but I'd rather have him commentating than Roy Jones.

In my recollection,Big George was the only heavyweight champ who,as a ringside voice, was both goofy and entertaining.

Lewis, on the other hand, does his commentary in a dull monotone voice,as if he's on Valium. The man offers no acute observation or insight on a fight. He's good at stating the obvious ;he repeatedly mentions what move a fighter just performed-something the television viewer watching at home had just seen with his own eyes.

To me,Max isn't that aggravating.Though, there are probably dozens of boxing reporters, who could do a better job commentating than him.

I wonder why the announcers on both channels are such a mess, I truly miss Steward and Merchant, HBO has fallen so fast, the only guy I would keep is RJJ

    :rofl Jesus

I like Kellerman, he doesn't seem to go along with the HBO bandwagon when calling fights

He has a good knowledge of boxing history and a longstanding appreciation fr Juan Manuel Marquez, what more could you want?

I'd rather HBO let Larry Merchant commentate until the day he dies from boredom/alcohol poisoning live on air than have to listen to Kellerman fumble his way through the telecast. Larry might be a senile, racist alcoholic but at least he makes me laugh.

I agree. He comes off as a bit of a nerd.

And his voice is like chalk on a blackboard.

Kellerman was the worst decision HBO ever made.He is terrible and I can't imagine this dude,of all people, being a magnet for a younger audience.:tired

I would replace HBO's whole broadcast commentary team with Tex Cobb and Joe Bob Briggs.

Too bad Howard Cosell ruined boxing when he went rogue during the Holmes-Cobb fight and gave some of the most asinine commentary ever broadcasted in order to further his agenda against ABC over his contract dispute. Ever since they have had to use annoying teams of commentators to prevent a single commentator from sabotaging an entire broadcast.
