They may very well be "one-dimensional", but that's not his fault. His last five fights have been against the number 1, 2 and ****ing 3 of the division. What more can you ask for from a guy who's nearing 50 years old?

All this crap about Hopkins cherry picking his opponents is ludicrous. Look at who he's fought at light heavy. Tarver, Calzaghe, Cloud, Dawson twice and Pascal twice. He's basically fought every top light heavy in recent years.

Who exactly has Hopkins been avoiding? Name another top light heavy who had a title that Hopkins should have fought but didn't?

After the debacle of the first Hopkins/Dawson fight it was Dawson who did not want the rematch and it was Hopkins who was looking to get the rematch despite him having kept his title. Not exactly the actions of a fighter trying to avoid another fighter. Hopkins could have easily retired having beaten Pascal but chose to fight Dawson.

Yes Hopkins has fought opponents that suited his style but he has also fought fighters who didn't suit his style in Dawson and Calzaghe. Should Hopkins of not fought Pascal the light heavyweight champion of the world to fight some no name fighter for a 10th of the purse and for no title just because this made up fighter had a style that would have tested him more, or should he simply fight the best in the division?
