While Mayweather does have a number of knockouts, this is usually due to accumulative punishment over the course of many rounds. Mayweather typically outboxes and wins unaninimous decisions in most of his fights. Because of this, he is more prone to robberies than other fights. The De La Hoya fight for example was a close robbery with a split decision when it shouldn't have been at all. Do you think a robbery will ever occur in mayweather's career? Will Judges start hating him because he wins all the time, a sort of bias against him? thoughts.
I have always thought that Floyd could be the victim of a robbery, to me Pacquiao beat Bradley 8-4, I don't think it would have a huge impact if we all new if it was a close fight and he won 7-5 and lost than I'll still count it.
Only way I can see Floyd ever being on the wrong end of a close decision is if he fights Canelo or Broner. Canelo just might have what it takes to beat Floyd fairly (not Broner though), but I could see GBP pulling a Manny/Bradley with Floyd as Manny to try and create a new young star to carry the company going forward.
No. Generates too much income. If a robbery was ever to happen in a Mayweather fight nowadays its more likely to be the other way around.
This. If Floyd's on his way out I can see GBP trying to pull a fast one for an up and coming star like Canelo... I don't believe it'll happen though.
when the split was called vs Oscar i thought there was a real chance Oscar was getting the nod like he did vs Sturm i dont see it happens unless a young lion possible money machine fights him stays on his feet for 12 rounds and a small case could be made maybe Canelo
Its sad to hear that JLC got mugged or was a victim of a house invasion. My favourite fight of his was when he gave Mayweather all he had losing a close and but clear fight . . . to bad he could not do it again in a rematch:good
Mayweather's shoulder was damaged that night. Castillo is in reality nowhere near the level of mayweather.
