When was the last time Paulie moved? I saw him move when he won the WBA but his last fight was terrible. Thank God that title wasn't on the line lol.

 

It annoys me that he just skips 140.

Obviously it is a tough division.

 

its a **** fight but its all about what Broner does after in the division
with guys like Maidana, Berto, Ortiz and Lopez all hungry to get big fights i can see Broner getting a loss at 147 unless he fights people like Senchenko, Aydin or Karass which he probably will

 

there is no difference what he does and floyd does. floyd just tries to make it look like its legit. broner just doesnt give a fug

anyone who says 140 is tougher than 147 go ****ing put up the top 20 list of each. Its not even close.....

 

the thing about the divisions is at 140 is there is NO easy fights, Rios (borderline), Garcia, Matthysse, Khan, Peterson are all elite, then theres Judah and Holt
at 147 he could avoid Bradley, Pac, Floyd and fight Berto, Ortiz, Lopez, Maidana, Guerrero, Aydin or Senchenko, none of them are elite

 

The difference is Broner is 23 years old and not a future HOF.

well he can always go back down after this fight. Who are some t big names there that aren't fighting, or under any negotiations.

 

Some of the major differences:

-Broner is only 23. Pac was at the stage in his life where he was nearly 30, a big attraction, yet kept taking on guys who were tailor made

-Going from Rees to Malignaggi is a step up. Going from JMM to David Diaz or even Hatton is not a step up in competition.

-Broner is taking his first at welterweight, let's wait and see what he does after this fight. If Broner starts cherry picking easy fights at welterweight then criticism is warranted. But at this point he's safe.

Pac's grade at welterweight:

DLH - money fight against a shot, old legend: C-
Hatton - good choice, fought Hatton at his best weight: A
Cotto - don't like the catchweight: C-
Clottey - should've fought Bradley, Clottey was a statue: C-
Mosley - old, washed up legend: D
Margarito - feeding off Mosley's leftover: D
Bradley - good choice: A

Overall grade: C

I don't count JMM as Pac and JMM can pretty much fight at any weight and it wouldn't make a difference in terms of the outcome. Pac has looked like **** against JMM at ww so it would only hurt Manny's grade anyway.

Broner's grade at ww so far: B-

Paulie has a title, it's not at a catchweight, he isn't shot, and he's coming off a winning streak of 5. Now if Broner loses the fight he would obviously get a big fat F.

 

I see a lot of **** coming up comparing Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya to Broner vs. Malignaggi.

First, Pacquiao was not expected to beat De La Hoya at 147... he was a huge underdog in that fight and aside from a few people, everyone **** on OSCAR for that fight, not Manny.

How can you compare this to Broner vs. Malignaggi? Malignaggi is NOT expected to win.

Two completely different situations other than the fact that one guy is skipping a weight class to take the fight. They are not related.

 

Mayweather fans love Broner because THEY ARE BRONER...

Broner is walking talking Mayweather fan... Ever need an example of what a ***** looks like...Just look at Broner.

 

I think we all need to shut the **** up and accept that Broner will NOT be fighting TOP level opposition i.e Bradley, Garcia, Matthyse, Guerrero etc. until he's made a lot of money fighting fringe level fighters like Karass, Senchenko, and the Alvarado's.

He will gain money, experience so he will actually be a decent fighter, and then he'll hand pick fighters who are the easiest style for him to beat..


So just ACCEPT WHAT I WROTE, AND CALM THE **** DOWN.
