Seeing as thought Floyd is his idol, that type of response is normal from him. They don't like the idea of giving other fighters air-time. They're reluctant in their praise of them -- or in this instance, even mentioning their name -- for fear of boosting their profiles.

They'll pick and choose who to give credit to, and when to give credit to them. Right now Bradley is a rival to Broner, just like Ward is a rival to Floyd (P4P rankings), and so they'll do their best to not give them exposure. Even though Floyd, inadvertently, has done the complete opposite .

 

I think the word you are looking for is 'peers'. Yea its just part of his persona. When he responded by saying 'who' when asked about Brandon Rios, he knew fully well who Rios was and later on twitter told Rios hes a good fighter but he would own his azz.
