I can't believe how many people are giving woodhouse props for this. He needs to grow up a little in my opinion. All this 'cyber bullying' is well beyond me, just hit the ****ing delete/block button and have done with it!. Instead of reading the **** that was posted, driving 40+ miles and paying out a grand, all he really had to do was block him. I actually think people enjoy having people hate on them.

I don't get why people take such offence to words on a screen written by a stranger.

I'm sure everyone here has been called something bad online at one point or another.

 

I agree it's pretty extreme to actually offer money for someones address and then drive an hour to confront them over an online rant but I don't agree with the argument "it's just words on a screen" or that we should just totally ignore anything that people write as words can be very offensive and upsetting for a lot of people, probably people far more sensitive than ourselves it must be added.

Mein Kampf is just words in a book and that had a pretty major effect on the world. You could ignore the EDF handing out fascist literature or ignore muslim extremists handing out booklets on Sharia law but the content of what is written can still be offensive and damaging to individuals and society. You have to keep in mind that when you're using Twitter or FB or whatever and conversing with people you don't know, that you know nothing about that person, they maybe a manic depressive that is having a bad day and perhaps that seemingly innocuous dig you have at them will push them over the edge. Look at that nurse that committed suicide over that Royal hospital thing, that was only a harmless joke but she clearly didn't take it as one.
