I can't decide if Diaz is an idiot, or a genius...

    The guy is an enigma to me :patsch

    The way he has flipped the switch on GSP is friggin genius. He took GSP's comment "Diaz deserves to get beat up" and completely used it against him. Now GSP, the "nice guy" is faced with the question, why would anyone deserve to get "beat up", and GSP had to backpeddle. I just don't know if all this is a plan, or Diaz just genuinely not wanting people to dislike him.

    His answers to questions are so outrageous, he NEVER actually answers the question, he just goes off on rants.

    One minute he states that GSP is the best and he respects him, then the next he is dropping jabs about steroids, stalling, air-brushing :lol:

    I honestly do not know how to take all this. :huh

    I just hope that Nick's talk either inspires GSP to fight for a finish, or irritates him enough for that he fights recklessly. He says that he's used to his opponents trash talking him, but I've never seen him so flustered and retaliatory before.

    Diaz is just scatterbrained and a poor communicator, especially when talking to media. His mouth is usually working a bit faster than his thoughts.

    This. GSP seemed to be genuinely angry at one point of the press conference.

    And I agree with the TS. I'm not sure if Diaz is trying get GSP angry so he neglects his game plan, or whether he's sick of looking like the bad guy and GSP the good guy. I think its probably the latter as he seems like a reasonably honest person to me. And I don't think GSP will be easily distracted from his game plan.

    I don't get it. Why would GSP backpeddle? Nick does deserve to get beat up. Why? Because if I'm GSP it's my job to do something about getting picked on. My fans want to see it anyway. Being a "nice guy" doesn't mean you shouldn't defend yourself. I can walk away from a few taunts and name calling. But persistent bullying should never be allowed to continue. Settle it like men - either in the ring or octagon.

    I dunno. GSP's confidence has time and time again been tested by guys who are expert smack talkers (Frank Trigg, Matt Hughes, Matt Serrra, Koscheck, Dan Hardy...) and all of them thought at some point that they would somehow get under GSP's skin and take him off his gameplan. Yet, time and time again he's proven them wrong. Sure you can question its effect on him outside the ring but when he's in the octagon, he's 100% business.
