    The capacity at the MGM Grand is usually around 15-16 thousand.

    Plenty are still available at the ticket brokers(Stub Hub, etc).

    Ticket brokers just buy up all of the reasonably priced seats to resell!

    Similar announcements were made after Floyd vs Ortiz and Pac vs Bradley tickets went on sale and both only sold around 12k. This is simply a press release and strategy to try and speed up demand/sales.

    The ticket prices are ridiculously expensive though so comparing a Mayweather fight to Froch or even Canelo-Trout is pointless. More than half of Mayweather-Guerrero tickets are $800+ which would likely double/triple highest ticket price for pretty well any other fight out there.

    Boxing is race drivin. So even if there is more white people in america, it is not like the majority of the white people would spend money to support a minority.
