    In lieu of FNF or ShoBox, this is our sole televised boxing event in the Western hemisphere tonight.

    It ain't a bad one, to be honest. This could easily be a ShoBox or FNF type match-up.

    Orlando "El Fenómeno" Cruz - the world's first ever openly gay pro boxer - is defending his WBO Latino featherweight title. He's 4-0 in bouts contested over this belt since his first unsuccessful stab against Daniel Ponce De Leon over three years ago. Most of this run has been televised on Telemundo, where Cruz has become sort of a franchise talent and put in some impressive performances.

    The southpaw from San Juan isn't thought of as being much of a knockout artist, but he does exhibit very nice placement with his quick accurate hands after getting into position with his slickness and did surprise 19-0 prospect Michael Franco with a KO1.


    Cruz is undeniably the favorite here, but...

    well yeah, but point 1, leduc didnt really get anywhere in the pros i think most people consider it as first ranked fighter to be gay.

    and 2nd of all leduc came out AFTER he retired. so it's a bit different.
