What are Pacquiao's best technical performances?

ye I feel alot of fighters achievements get overlooked on this forum tho because alot of posters seem to have 1 favourite fighter an then hate on the fighter that might be a threat to them. I have favourite fighters too but I just like to see the best fight get made that way we all get more entertaining fights. I could watch Marquez an Pac fight all day there just great fights an great fighters.

Marquez 1,2- too much aggression, little defense
morales 1- too much aggression that lead to his loss.
morales 2- his sheer heart and accumulating power made him win
morales 3- pac getting refined, have good technical performance, ie counters
diaz- technical performance ok.
dlh- followed his gameplan, countered/lead with his left, shifts to dlh left. one of the best perf.
hatton- his right hook counter was there. good footwork and handspeed too.
cotto- best performance. no need to say anything as other poster made theirs already.
clottey- thumbs down. couldnt get through clottey's defense.
margarito- just couldnt KO a giant mule eh?
JMM3- He just couldnt learn. 2/10.
Bradley- pac has the skillset to TKO Timmeh, but fell short to UD. oopps he lost?
JMM4- one of the best technical performance that he did. Bloodied JMM's face copmared to his 3 wars with him, to the point of stoppage. Wham!!! counter right hand from JMM.

 

An undrained 35yo ODLH could not still beat an elusive pac., unless we are talking a p4p fight here.

 

Drained as he was, Pacquiao looked the most discipline and intent on following the blueprint against Oscar De La Hoya.

 

No i agree I feel even if odlh was not drained Pac would still be to much at that stage odlh was past it in my opion.

 

Cotto was probably his best. The way he neutralized Cotto's jab, controlled the center of the ring, and mixed up his offensive combinations with feints was brilliant.

De La Hoya was the most balanced I'd ever seen him. I think along with the Cotto fight, Cotto's defense is most secure when he feels his opponent is dangerous (his movement in the Margarito fight speaks to that as well). Against DLH he was very selective about when to move in or out of range, when to move laterally, what punches to throw. Very sharp, very tight.

The Bradley and Marquez fights weren't his best performances, but they included a lot of interesting improvisations. In the Bradley fight he was inactive but disciplined and out-boxed Bradley, stepping over to get proper positioning anytime Bradley tried to circle and jab (often from too far outside as he was circling). He opened up Bradley's left hand a lot with right hand feints to land his own straight. Against Marquez he was really crafting in the way he'd trigger JMM's counters and make him commit before landing the right hook, and did interesting things with his upper body to mislead Marquez. There was also a moment that instead of competing with him on getting lead foot positioning, he took advantage of JMM's constant leftward movement to time a pivot with him in the opposite direction to end up on the other side and try to land his left.

 

I miss 2009-2011 Pacquiao.

De La Hoya, Cotto and Hatton

 

It's going to sound insulting but I would say he improved allot technically in Marquez 4, making Marquez miss, using the angles better, landing more than he ever did against Marquez.
