If it did happen, It would make sense if ITV made a deal with Hennesy. I'm not saying ITV 1 (although that would be brilliant) ITV 4 seems to be the channel for their sports. They show cycling, Europa league football, TT racing, Rugby, IPL cricket. I even saw snooker on there the other day. The likes of Eubank JR, Degale, Fury would get more viewers in than most of he sport they show.
i find it strange people vent there frustrations at the networks for not showing boxing. if boxing delivered big viewing figures, ad revenue and viewer satisfaction for a good price they would still show boxing. theres no agenda from the heads of sport.
To be fair apart from his own fighters and likely his mum Frank doesn't seem to like anyone. I genuinely do not see where DeGale and Eubank Jr go if Hennessey has TV issues. Matchroom don't need any more boxers at the weight, DeGale hates Frank and Eubank Sr isn't exactly a massive fan either. They could sign with Maloney and get on board the Loaded TV Express but Maloney looks to be winding down now. Boxing needs some terrestrial exposure in this country bar the KOTV on Channel Four in the middle of night.
Eubank Jnr will still interest Matchroom and Sky. Hearn will know enough about Galahad from Brook/Ingle camps to want him. Sauerland & Goldenboy would take DeGale. Hennesey can stay in the US with Fury and will probably sell high world title fights to Sky/Primetime.
agree bout haye v harrison but audley and david got the public interested.calzaghe vs lacy was no way a mismatch until they stepped into the ring.lacy was actually highly favoured to beat joe by every bookmaker.joes skill and workrate just ****ed that hyped up yank all over the ring
