Another one of my boys who gets **** because hes not a huge puncher, or get into wars.

He's got the best jab out there. A pure boxer who fights with heart and will go to war if needed. He had to step out of his comfort zone to prove he has power and can bang and be exciting. Hes got the skills to give anyone trouble and hes here to stay. He deserves respect and passed tonights test with flying colors.

    Bring it.

I had him by 2 points.

I've never been super high on him, but he does make me want to root for him in fights even when I don't take a rooting interest heading in. His Omotoso and Josesito fights are solid watches.

Vargas is a solid all-around fighter that, unfortunately for him, possesses no outstanding qualities other than perhaps heart. Nothing wrong with that but at best he looks to be a fringe world class guy, and would need favorable matchmaking to win a belt.

You mean beating Malignaggi or Alexander/Brook?

He can beat any of them. People dont know the road Jessie has taken. This is probably the first complete camp in a long time. This kid is improving, can make mid-fight adjustments and his confidence in his skills and power is growing. Only problem is GBP and Top Rank not working together.

Vargas could possibly beat Paulie, though it would be a tough fight if he pulled it off. Alexander or Brook I find unlikely. Alexander has too much speed and Brook too much power for him.

He was able to make the technical adjustments of going to Lopez body and opening him up to the head and snatch the victory back. Lopez was also an underrated fighter who beat the snot out of Ortiz. No im not kidding, Vargas is a pure boxer who can mix it up when he needs to.

He's got skills but needs to put a fire under his ass.

he looks like a warrior and a sharp puncher, but not a really hard puncher. I am not sure I see a future superstar here. I do not see him winning a title. But he is a good young fighter and he has a lot of heart.

I like rooting for young and up and coming talent to do well. however, tonight i thought both guys looked awful. not saying that both of them do not have potential but they are a long long way off to making any kind of noise. I was extremely disappointed with the fight
