At one point in time, as Rafa Marquez/Castillo/Barrera/.Morales were getting old & soon to retire, I was worried that Mexican Boxing was falling off. Not the case, is Mexican boxing is strong as ever! Loaded with prospects & Stars

    122- Santa Cruz
    126- MIKEY/Ponce/Mares
    130-Salido
    135- Vasquez
    140- Rios
    147- Soto Karass/Marquez
    154- Canelo
    160- Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez/Chavez Jr
    168- Marco Antonio Periban

With other contenders like Tyson Marquez,Angulo, Soto, Johnny Gonzalez. Oh yea, & you know Mexicans put on the best fights!

Mexican/Americans arent Mexican. They are American. Just because you throw on a sombrero and come out to mariachi music doesnt change the fact your ass grew up in the United States

He's a fool. You are what you choose to be. Only because you were born in certain country, it doesn't mean that's who you are or love to be. Martin Lawrence was born in Germany. He Isn't German.

You choose what you want. It's in your blood. It's how you're raised.

Juan Carlos Burgos, damn it. Im telling you that kid is the real deal. He IS already a champ, since everyone who knows an ounce of boxing knows that he whooped Rocky Martinez for that belt only to get robbed in such a disgusting manner.

I think Oscar Valdez can have a bright future as well.

If you are Mexican you are Mexican.... Regardless of what side of a man made line you were born on...

    Mexico no, but Mexicans yes!!!

The OP meant to say Mexicans are deep...

By the haters logic if you are born in USA your are no longer Mexican then Antonio Margarito is as American as apple pie.

Abner Mares was born in Mexico, lived many years in Mexico and fought for Mexico in the Pan American games, Summer Olympic games and many other international amateur tournaments.

Mares is as Mexican as you're gonna get.
