Yeah I read that at the time, King blocked Coynes fight with Cleverly, and Coyne called King out on his bull****, King is a ****, a first grade ****

Coyne cut through the bull****, in typical Irish fashion

Nothing most of us don't already know.. but still...

    Don King is a *******.

How on earth can this kind of thing STILL go on????

    Good article though.

Edit: Ok, so there ARE things I didn't know - i.e. The current/future state of DKP!

I followed several lawsuits mentioned, and never heard the quote from Joseph Agbeko. Very sad.

Did you all catch the snip about Joseph Agbeko?

No wonder King Kong has been silent.

All I can say is thank you to Hopkins for eliminating King's championship presence in the Middleweight division and taking out his last remaining titlist, and thank you to Wlad and Vitali for eliminating his grip on the Heavyweight championship.

It's a sad and familiar story. But what is a political science major doing singing a contract with Don King, in 2008, that states in several places that the signer should "seek the advice of an attorney," without consulting an attorney?

I agree. Shocked that someone with a decent education can be so naive considering King's reputation, which is no secret.

Tbh I reckon a lot of fighters are better off without promoters. Coyne showed he was capable of arranging fights for himself, and I wish more fighters have the nous to do this as opposed to signing with notorious promoters and sitting out most of the year waiting for a call.

    Don King is very slick.

But beyond that, there aren't many opportunities in boxing for fighters. Goldenboy, Top Rank and other major promotions can't sign every fighter in every country.

How many people here are working a sub-par job because it was the only thing available, and that's what they had to take?
