A bit silly to even talk about DeGale vs. Eubank at this point, they're much further apart in experience than their actual # of bouts would indicate. It's the equivalent of analyzing Martin Joseph Ward's present chances against Ricky Burns, IMO.
Obviously Degale has the "amateur pedigree" that people place too much emphasis on but in his pro fights he has rarely looked like a future world champion. I agree it's too early for Eubank Jr but in a year or two this fight would be big provided they both kept winning.
At the risk of sounding stupid, am I the only one who keeps seeing this picture and doesn't understand what Fast Eddie is doing? It looks like he's miming a sex act but doesn't know where the dick goes.
I didn't so much mean because of that (although it's also a factor) but quality of opposition in the pros is miles apart. Through 10, Chunky had faced Dilks, Smith and Groves. Eubank - unless we get a major surprise for next month - will still have bedraggled old Pryce as his plume de votre chapeau. Perhaps. Eubank needs to ramp up his degree of difficulty and prove a bit more, though.
I agree, Hennessy will milk him and his surname for all it's worth first though. I think trying to mimic his dad will be his undoing.
