I agree with Mayweather. But Nonaire, Andre bored and Borednard? come on!! Pernell Whitaker was the only other one i can think of that was an awesome counter puncher on the back foot.
Are you BBall? Because it sounds like your a Mike Jones fan. Bradley fights very similiar on the outside to Mike Jones. Both can't box for **** on the outside. They run around the ring flailing punches. Being elusive, flailing punches, is not boxing. Bernard Hopkins would laugh at that assertion. Bradley has amazing stamina, good reflexes, and a lot of strength. That and the fact that Peterson is a guy that couldn't even hit a speed bag at that point in his career contributed to Bradley's success. That doesn't equate to boxing.
Bernard is the best you can get at boxing in the sport. Mayweather has better reflexes, proper punching mechanics, but it remains to be seen if he still has the footwork he had when he was younger. He tends to get easily pushed against the ropes, which would put him in for a long night against guys like Canelo or even Guerrero. B Hop would toy with guys like that because you would never see him against the ropes in any position of vulnerability. Canelo may even knock Floyd out because of Floyd's tendency to go against the ropes. Floyd would have to box Canelo like he boxed Marquez. Now that, was great boxing. If Floyd is capable of that type of performance, than I would put him up there with B Hop. But if not, B Hop is as perfect as you can get.
Bernard Hopkins didnt write the book on how to box, he is merely an example of a very good boxer, just because Bradley doesnt box in a similar manner doesn't mean he isn't a very good boxer in his own right, he took apart Alexander and Peterson for crying out load, does that count for nothing?
I guess it's kind of hard to explain without giving away too much information. I can tell you what boxing is not. It's not Mike Jones, it's not Bradley, and it's not Khan.
When Bradley is inside, he does good job. He's elusive, and he has some moves. However, when he's on the outside, he's a lot like Khan, and Mike Jones. He sort of circles the ring and flails punches. Bradley has better defense than Khan though, and like Khan he's not afraid to engage in a fight. Mike Jones just sucks. I don't ever want to see him on HBO again.
He doesn't circle the ring though. Did you see the Peterson video I posted? He was turning him both ways consistently. Walking him into Bradley's offense. It was tremendous footwork.
Says the same dumbass that said Mayweather was going to walk Cotto down at the start of the fight. Yes, because Cotto can't box.... No, you ****in idiot, Cotto CAN box, and he has a great jab and an improved right hand. That's what we said, but you said, "new Mayweather is gonna walk him down." Proved YOU didn't know **** about boxing. What did I say? Mayweather's best chance is to make Cotto come to him and pick him apart, and then when Cotto tires (like he does in every single ****ing fight), then to solidify the victory by delivering more pressure. What did you say? Mayweather is gonna go right at him. That's some dumbass **** right there.
