I love this comparison and I hate it at the same time. Two of The illest and most skilled fighters ever.

 

Floyd goes to the body if the situation calls for it. His bodywork is very deceptive. See the Judah fight

Mayweather is definitely a better fighter than Pea though overall.

He would definitely UD him . Something like 8-4 or 9-3.

 

What a fight this would have been. Sweet science at it's best.

 

It kind of depends on who they are fighting. For example, in the Hatton fight he landed some really effective right hands in the 8th round that visibly hurt Ricky. Then proceeded to spend the entire 9th round if I recall correctly literally throwing almost strictly jabs. Whitaker had unbelievable head/upper body/foot speed which allowed him to be ellusive on the inside and out. He also had legs that allowed him to get really low. On the other hand Floyd has such a tight Philly Shell that he seems to be more comfortable in the pocket and on the ropes. They both have pretty underrated body punching.

 

Pernell was on another level.

 

Look at the skills of each. Looks close huh? Now go watch the quality of opponent it was displayed against an come holler at me.

You should pay more attention to Mayweather when he fights. Floyd has an efficient body attack. I disagree completely. It is an under-rated asset of his game by fans, just like his punching power.

 

Dont watch pernell or floyd go watch who they foughts careers. Both great but im sayin to you dont be foolish
