:?, you don't need film footage of any great or top level fighters - there is so much footage of other greats one need only "cross" record check to see who fought who, how well they did, circumstances around any loss - questionable or not, weight drained and such things, and last if said fighters stepped up against top fighters out of their own division competing well.

all this is proof enough for those top men we can't unfortunately see footage of.

What were Hopkins' best wins at middleweight? How do they compare to the guys faced by Greb, Monson, Hagler, Robinson, Burley, Ketchell etc.?

Couldn't justify putting Him in the Top Five above, Hagler, Monzon, Robinson, Greb, or Jones. Perhaps on the Top Ten somewhere. Even there is tough, so much talent... La Motta, Zale, Tiger, Fitzsimmons, Ketchel, Burley, Walker. The list goes on..

his opponents post middleweight have been better than his middleweight reign, which is ironic since he was older when he fought them, and he lost to half the guys after or maybe a 3rd.. It is hard to rate him, but he is certainly the top 50 ATG.

    what things?

you mean the fact that there's a hundred and fifty years of boxing history to choose from and 3 great periods for MWs to choose from as well.

Then other contenders here and there! So accounting for all the great champions and at least 30 - 40 great contenders and then a dozen or two more of lesser known greats and forgotten fighters, that places him where I said, among the 100 or so greats.

though at his natural weight he might not qualify.

sorry but not even close. not technically or talent wise. he didnt have any power but he does have a lot of hustle and some skill.

    where would I place him?

somewhere within the pack of Basilio, Fullmer, Kalambay, guys like that

I think Nunn beats him becuz Mike is way too slick N quick, and also becuz Hop is too low on power

Hopkins made the weight easy, so he could weigh-in on the same day no problem.
