Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Juan Carlos Burgos June 8th on HBO?

Nope, he's undefeated. He stopped Solis, ended up with a draw against Farenas, and just put on a solid performance against Bryan Vasquez. Very fundamentally sound, very hard hitter.

 

Was farenas a fair draw? Would be a good gage, Gamboa won nearly every round against him.

 

Gamboa needs to be fighting the best and Burgos is not in that category but it will do for now. At least Gamboa is fighting again, let's hope it's true and the fight happens.

He is the rightful owner of that WBO belt Roman Martinez is carrying around.

 

Why are some of u keep saying that Gamboa got exposed in his last fight by that Filipino bum??

As far as im concerened, Gamboa has been exposed lonnnng time ago.. Everybody who has fought Gamboa, even the bums, were able to put their hands on him at one point or another.. Think about how many times he's been knocked down in his career and it's not as if he fought killers...

So to those of you who think Gamboa was " exposed " in his last fight, Im assume that you are new to this sport . lol

Gamboa always had that same problem.. He thinks he's more talented than he really is so he fights with that unconventional style like the Roy Jones of the world but he certainly is nowhere near that level..

He has a terrible habit of fighting with his hands down and backing up in a straight line with his chin exposed ..

That's why I always said that he's getting beat as soon as he faces an elite boxer-puncher with good countering punching ability and power and guess what?? Juan Carlos Brugos fits that mold...


THis will be Burgos' coming out party ...

 

i see this a good and reasonable fight. Gamboa should win , but it depends of how he looks will give us an idea at what level he's right now. If he struggles with Burgos( who isnt an easy fight, ask Rocky) he has no business going after Broner.

I think Gamboa has more tools to take him to greater hights than Casa, my personal opinion.
