Geale, for one, has been busy unifying titles in Germany against top 5 ranked MW's.

Sergio is doing his JCC Jr. money making thing and beating all of Englands' MW's as well.

JCC Jr. is doing his Sergio thing and getting high.

Quillin is trying to get some title defense money under his belt after a tough fight with Ndam. He has a fight scheduled for April.

Macklin, Ndam, Sturm are coming off of hard fought defeats within the past year to the above named guys.

    ---

Golovkin, of all the fighters listed, has the worst "best opponent fought." By a mile.

I would favor him to beat most of them H2H, but that is irrelevant. Until he beats a top 10 fighter, he should be treated as a man who has never fought a top 10 fighter. Period.

His level of comp has been **** poor. Good news is that he still has time to change that.

Fine, you got excuses ready for every top tenner not to face him. Tell me, what excuses you got prepared for the next date, in june? What's Geale up to, Macklin, the rest of the crew?

GGG fights often, if not June you better come up with more excuses a few months later.

You must really hate boxing and like not a single fighter if you have expectations that every fighter must fight the best available guy.

I've said I wish that he'd get a fight with them and that I think he'd beat most of them. And yes I think they are essentially avoiding him for various reasons. I have not argued that.

Just simply saying that he should be treated as a fighter who has not beaten a single top 10 opponent.

OK fair enough, your frustration then seems misdirected. He's never gonna be able to prove himself if these guys won't step in the ring with him. As I said, how many of these guys are in the position to pass on a title shot on HBO?

I'm just tired of him being talked about as if he's more accomplished than 50+ fighters who are much more accomplished, and thus better, than he is. It's just out of control fans. I hated Bute fans too, but Bute had done things to warrant some of his hype. Golovkin is more hyped than Bute, and a fraction as accomplished.

That said, to answer your repeated question, I think Macklin will be the first of the top MW's to fight him.

I agree he's massively overhyped, almost Broner like, though Broner has done quite a bit more. Even Canelo has done more, sad to say. But Canelo's guys turned away many good challengers in favor of chumps, that's the difference.

Macklin already said he doesn't feel ready for June, he needs a tuneup first. Though not sure why he couldn't squeeze this in, just like GGG fighting next week.

Rubio would be a good test or lee at least someone who can fire back FFS, supposedly everyone is ducking GGG. There is a bit of truth to this but they seem to not be trying very hard for an opponent either feasting on Jr middleweights. Why cant we have Rubio vs GGG, Rubio has to be dying for a payday. You mean the cable network wont televise or promote this fan friendly, possible scrap?

No chance of Lee and GGG soon, I'm sure Booth doesn't want to cash out on him too soon.

Was Proksa a top 10 at the time? i know he might not be considered one now but i am pretty sure he was top 3 before he lost to Hope... after he beat Hope did he move back to top 10? can't remember... anyways Proksa is a solid fighter. Rosado has great skills at least from what i saw in the GGG fight but like most of you said he is a light middleweight...

anyways i do agree that GGGs compotition isn't the greatest.

i just hope he gets the opportunity to figth top guys, and even though you can claim that his comp sucks you can't really fault him for avoiding anyone. (unlike some cherry pickers)

Who could ever forget Mosley's infamous toothache or Arum saying Cotto was not ready! As soon as he started to become a draw everyone from HW to FW has Floyd's name on their lips . . .lol. I fear GGG will have to become a draw to get the big names to step up to the plate

I agree with this also, if ya cant get the big dogs clean up the rest of the pound!

I rather see him stay active than sit on the fence waiting on a big fight.

Golovkin had the chance to step up his his competition big time at the start of this year but didn't. His camp were in negotiations to fight #5 Ring ranked SMW Thomas Oosthuizen. However when TO refused the take it or leave it CW of 164 DESPITE GOLOVKIN CLAIMING HE WILL FIGHT ANYONE FROM 154 TO 168, Golovkin and his camp ended all negotiations and decided to fight a low ranked LMW in Rosado. He has had the chance to fight much better opposition and he has not taken it, so why don't you GGG dickriders do some research before accusing other fighters of ducking.
