I don't like the name of the card ( First Chapter) i'm scared to have a fixed fight so they can milk us all they can!

 

Hey, Badlok! Do you have a link for 'first chapter'? I agree, it would be horrible if they tried to fix it, but I'm not sure they can. Once the adrenaline kicks in and the crowd starts shouting, you're just reacting on instinct more than anything. If they tried to fix it, it would show. Only way it can be fixed is by the referee protecting one of the fighters or by the judges making it very close on the cards, but that wouldn't make the fight itself close, necessarily...

The way I see it, Pascal is going to go for the KO and get a stoppage. It should be a very entertaining/dramatic fight!

 

What odds would you guys offer?

For me, something like:

To win: Bute 1.8; Pascal 1.35

 

Pascal by stoppage.

 

HBO should host it, this will be a great fight. 24/7s are made for PPV events only.

 

Yeah, this fight will be awesome. Pascal is a better fighter than Bute but Bute will be very brave and give his all as usual. It should be very entertaining while it lasts.

But like you say there's too much in stake ( money , ego , pride ) and Pascal and Bute are to proud to loose!

It's going to be an exciting fight, just like Froch vs. Bute! :scaredas:

 

Bute have to look better and more confident if he want to see the secound half of the fight! But i have more confidence seing him vs Pascal then Froch!

 

I would take Bute all day at that price.Even better for a decision.
I'd put my main bet on a Bute decision,and a little insurance on a Pascal stoppage.
I honestly thought Bute would be favourite.Pascal hasn't had a significantly better 18 months than Bute.

 

Hmmm... yeah... but Bute's confidence is lower than it was for the Froch fight (where he was overconfident).

The big positive for me is that he won't have a sleepless night trying to make weight this time. This should make a big difference for someone who relies so much on mental energy. Bute should react a lot better under pressure because he isn't mentally drained from making the weight. Big, big plus, imo.

 

Well, what do I know. Turns out I know very little, and a lot less than I used to know when I was watching boxing regularly. But I think Pascal will be the favourite with the bookies.

 

Froch took something from Bute when they fought... fancy Pascal to stop him too
