Haye syas he wants to quit boxing before 31. So he'd have to unify and clean out a division in about a year and a half.
Even if he does that, the division is so much weaker than Lewis' it would take a long reign at the top for Haye to come close to Lewis' achievments.

A better comparison would be to Holyfield. Both were cruiser champs who moved up. Even still, Haye would not have thelevel of a foe that Holy had in Mike Tyson.

    No

Let's say he unified heavyweight by beating Wladimir Klitschko (IBF and WBO), Samuel Peter (WBC), and Ruslan Chagaev (WBA). Let's throw in some ranked opponents too - Povetkin, Briggs, Rahman. Add all of that the his CW resume (Enzo Maccarinelli and Jean Marc Mormeck) and he still doesn't come close to Lewis's accomplishments.

    That's right.

    :good

Lewis was the world's dominant heavyweight for a decade - And would have gotten more recognition if he hadn't have been ducked by Bowe & had the opportunity to beat Holyfield earlier (which he would have done)

    :ko

Haye will have to be pretty spectacular to equal Lewis' achievements. That said, what I like about Haye is the fact that he takes risks, wants to fight the best & recognises that he performs better when he has better opposition in front of him. That makes him exciting to watch, and he'll being it to heavyweight

    :fight

    - It just waits to be seen how far he can go. Here's hoping he goes all the way.

Not really, simply bercause Lewis was dominant in a golden age for the HW's. Back in the 90's, all of the current titleholders would be b/c level, and none off them beltholders.

Having said that, it would be a remarkable achievement, given him being undisputed at Cruiserweight as well.

I dont particularally like Haye, but I do see him making the boring Heavyweight division a little more exciting, even if it only last a couple fights. His weak defense and very shaky chin at the Heavyweight level will be his eventual downfall, guys with good chins and a heavy punch, will be able to take him out with ease. Wlad/Haye would be one hell of a fight, that would provide a knockout.

Haye will never be able to match Lewis in accomplishments, the Heavyweight division is extremely weak, unlike when Lewis fought, when it was one of the best era's for the division.

Way too premature. ****, Wlad's got a good HW resume and it's too premature to say that for him. Haye still has to show he's better than Herbie Hide at the HW level. Worry about that first before Lennox Lewis' name gets thrown out there.

Nice avatar, Haye is going to bomb at Heavyweight, mark my words, once he steps up to a Peter or Brewster, guys with good chins and heavy punch, his ass is done.
