Legit question- one man got KTFO while the other got wobbled hard many times; what does more damage to a fighter?

There's arguments for both cases, on one hand there's severe acute trauma to the brain while on the other there's sustained damage

Bradley. Manny got put out nice and quick and that is better than getting chopped with hard shots constantly over a 12 rnd fight.

Manny took more damage as fighters have never recovered from a KO like that.

Bradley will recover and although his prime is shortened, he will still recover.

Well yes SOME fighters don't recover.
But Pac got hit and was out Bradley took sustained damage for 12 rounds which will hurt him way more in his career it just depends how Pac reacts to the KO loss

The punch which Manny got hit with changes fighters. They are never the same. Only a few fighters are hit with fight ending punches like that and return to win titles, but not many. We all know the names. Lewis,Duran,Hearns,Norris. There is no insult that it happens since it has happened to the best, but psychologically the first few fights are important. I am glad Manny is taking some time off so the memory of that fight is behind him and his body recovers. Manny Steward used to say that after Tommy was knocked out by Hagler and Barkley he wanted Tommy to take off 6 months for his body to recover and for his memory to fade a little, and it worked. Thing is most great fighters who have been knocked out in that fashion were knocked out by other guys who had a punchers reputation,so for someone else to duplicate that was difficult. Not many guys hit like JMM with that right hand so Manny should be ok to take some punches. You can bet guys are going to be aiming for his chin now.

To be knoccked out quickly is always better, no matter how hard it seems.

    Just look at the punch stats of the two fights, and compare the amount of power punches the two fighters took;

unfortunately i don't have the stats, it would be truly interesting to give a look; please anyone?

also provo fought totally brainlessly, and as a result he ate a very high amount of punches from bradley; without an hard chin, he would have gone down, too.

Accidentally voted Pac, I think Bradley did. But who knows, I could see either one. Pac took a tremendous blow, but no doubt Bradley was taking shots while badly concussed. I'd venture to say that's worse.

Not sure, dont think both of their china will be the same but Bradley could have a chance of recovering properly if he avoids wars and has a long lay off
Pac's chin is gonna be dodgy forever

Look Bradley's last fight was bad but...Pac's career is full of beatings....just because he seems to have taken the damage well does not mean that it has not accumulated...

I really think that Alzheimer's may follow before this man's career is over...real talk (I really hope not though).

    Tough question.

I'll go with Pac, cause while an extended beating is worse than an early KO, Pac took a good amount of damage rounds 3-6 and his KO wasn't just an ordinary knockout.

Both of their defenses were heavily "exposed."

Bradley, BUT Pacquiao is at the end of his career anyway whereas Bradley is in his absolute prime.
