    How good was he?

I understand he was 'exposed' by Barerra but Barerra himself was amazing so there is no shame in losing to him.

I haven't seen much of Naz to be honest.

    Best performances?

a great great underrated fighter with unbelievable power in both hands for a small man.

probably his finest fights are in his earlier days when didnt have hand trouble and was taking out and dominating seasoned proffesionall champions.

most exciting fight porbably kevin kelley bout.both on the floor numerous times.

All the "exposed" talk is nonsense.

He was beaten by an ATG 8-4,and was never hurt in the fight. Id hardly call it being "exposed". There was also talk of having problems motivating himself for that fight, but that could just be talk.

He had a list of top class wins.

    Kelley
    Johnson
    Medina
    Vazquez
    McCullough
    Ingle
    Sanchez
    Soto
    Bungu

    Were all world class wins.

He was great, unified his division very easily, beat a lot of good fighters, great talker very entertaining.

Lost to a better fighter in Barerra, because he didn't bother training. Believed his own hype.

When he fought Calvo after Barerra, you could see there was a million other things he would rather be doing. Completely lost intrest in boxing, plus had problems with hand injuries.

He is an ATG, a lower tier ATG but still an ATG.

He was a monstrous puncher it was actually crazy. Pound for Pound, his trainer Manny Steward said he was the hardest puncher he ever trained, even harder than Tommy Hearns. Manny would know.

Hamed was at his best with Brendan Ingle. Brendan Ingle had trained Hamed since he first started boxing and Hamed was very disciplined under Ingle and focussed on aspects of his game that goes beyond his power. When he left Ingle, he didn't really learn much under the new trainers so he couldn't make the most of his own ability, and he was just relying on what he does have and lost a lot of discipline. It went to the extent of him only going to training whenever he wanted to and doing it the way he wanted.

He also had very bad hand problems during fights and that had taken a significant toll on him as his career developed.

Full of charisma, his style broke many rules in the book, but it was his own style that he had since he started and his style is the most entertaining I've ever seen. It's not common that you'd find a fighter you'd even love to watch his very first pro fights of, against no namers.

He brought BIG money into the little man divison. Correct me if I'm wrong but he was one of the first PPV featherweight attractions?

    Underrated?? Are you sure?

I think you mean he was one of the most overrated fighters to ever come out of the UK.

  9. he wasnt a very good boxer. he made a lot of mistakes in the ring. technically, one of the worst i've seen. he did have tremendous power and he was sort of entertaining. by british standards that is. he was a c minus boxer with a plus power, speed and reflexes.

he is loved for bringing excitement and entertainment to the sport and had a style anyone could appreciate

however as far as his career goes? he lost to the only elite prime fighter he faced. is that a bad thing?, certinly not great fighters all have losses but they rebound and thats what makes them great

naz really left a cloud over his career because you can speculate how many elite scalps he could have picked up if he went on and fought them BUT HE DIDENT. its a shame because he was entertaining

i think he is similar to pacquiao in that sense in the way he was so unorthadox it worked because it was so different to what boxers were used to facing

  12. how dare u compare the great manny pacquiao with that clown?

Won the European title in his 12th fight, just out of his teens.
    Unified a division.
Beat a plethora of top ranked fights. Lost a UD to an ATG.

    Retired in his 20s.

He had a very good career, but you're elft with a feeling of what could have been.
