This news makes me very, very happy. Matt Brown is on a really good run, and is a suitable test for Mein. If he gets the win here, he's going to be getting a lot of attention.

Great fight Brown would've slaughtered Hardy anyway.

****, three guys I like are/were involved in this fight. :-(

I'm cheering for Brown. Mein looks like a great prospect, but I'm loving Brown's recent career upswing. I find him to be an easy guy to cheer for. He's not the most talented or athletic guy, but he's gutsy, no bull****, tough as hell and fights balls out every time. I'd like to see him pick up a pretty high-profile win over a young up-and-coming guy who clearly has a lot of talent. War the Immortal! (One of the coolest nicknames in the sport too )

And yeah, I think Brown would have been too tough for Hardy to spark out, and I reckon he would have disassembled the Brit round by round. Still, if he performs well, Mein could be a big fight in Brown's career. Five in a row including a win over Mein, that would put a crowd-friendly, humble guy like Brown in a big fight.

Turns out Hardy has a heart condition called Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome.

After a little research, I've found a couple pro athletes that have this condition and were still able to compete, so hopefully we will see Hardy back in the cage eventually.

Damn, that sucks for him. Hardy always seems like a pretty cool guy too. :-(

Damn that's a shame although I think Mein vs Brown will be a far better fight.

I'd like to see the winner of this in with Tarec Saffidine.

Either that or the winner of Gunnar Nelson/Mike Pyle.

Hopefully Hardy will be okay, but this is great for Jordan Mein.

I want to see him get some publicity and bigger fights, to see if he is the real deal or not.
