For what it's worth...GSP injured during Diaz fight

funny. I ran into joe silva after the fights. he said george was sick with the flu.

 

So that's why he couldn't finish the Strikefarce legend...

GSP is afraid of Johnny and with good reason. If johnny gets the KO i think GSP will retire and that's a hard way to leave the sport.

 

Let's quit pretending that GSP won't wrestle-**** his way into retirement as the WW Champion.

 

IMO They don't make enough money to just up and retire for life. I'm sure GSP is now a millionaire but you can probably count them with one hand and like most young studs it probably goes out as fast as it comes in.

 

Gsp has an estimated net worth of 7 mil before this fight. That should be plenty if he wanted to call it quits

 

If he's smart with his money but could just as easily blow through it all. Here's to George having half a brain when it comes to cash.

GSP would have to be wary of him. There seems to be an angle with the long break but obviously opinion baseless speculation.

First thing he did when he started making some serious cash was paying his parents mortgage....

 

I used to work for one of the world's leading sports nutrition companies in their Talent department and was head of recruiting. This was maybe 5 years ago and we contacted GSPs agent and his demands were 1 million/year, so we passed him up. As a bodybuilding supplement company, they weren't ready to pay that for an athlete in a different sport. I was suprised they did pass though considering they spent millions per year on athlete contracts. We ended up with Nate marquart and right when I quit, they picked up Jones but do not know if he is still there and what they pay was.

 

I never said I knew, hence why I intentionally left my post vague.
