We dont know how good thurman is yet as he aint fought any of the top guys in his division i would pick a prime pre margarito cotto over thurman

It would be a good fight now if cotto decided to drop back down to 147

Cotto is more skilled and more experienced. But Thurman is coming into his own and has dangerous power. It depends how he looks. I think he moved up to 154 for a reason and might suffer coming back down, and looked sluggish against Trout. Hard to say. I'd give the edge towards Cotto, who could control the fight with his jab.

Cotto would be winning rounds but if he does his come forward aggressive style he will get caught

 

All depends on Thurman's chin and toughness.. Cotto was clearly more skilled, but Thurman would have the style advantage.

 

People have kind of changed the past on Cotto, go look at the fight, Zab had him hurt before the low blow, I'm not saying Thurman beats him but Cotto was not an ATG and Thurman hasn't entered his prime yet, I don't think he is special but he packs a punch.
