Best version of each, I'd say: Toney Hopkins Mayweather Bowe Castillo Ward Barrera Marquez Vasquez Cotto A few of those guys were better at forcing an inside fight or finding their way there than Toney was, but once there, he was the best of the lot.
Floyd had a bit of an inside lesson in the first Castillo fight and gradually became excellent in the range. He's had to rely on it more recently as his legs have begun to fade. Mayweather of, say, the Hatton fight, yeah - I like him as #3. Toney and Hopkins are the definite top 2 here, and Floyd's sort of in the mix with a few of those others, but I'm fine with him at #3.

:cheersYou recognize Floyd's infighting ability. You'll enjoy this This content is protected In the next second, which I was unable to include, he feints a jab to land a right hook to Hoya's head.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!atschrofl:rofl:rofl this post just proves you're a biased hopkins hater, as if all your other ones don't! COTTO OVER HOPKINS IN SKILL!:rofl:rofl:rofl
Cotto's whole game is using his shorter arms to punch and win fights. Had Duran been in this list I would have put him near the top. Hopkins is a great fighter and better than Cotto, but to hold and clinch strategically is not exactly inside skill. It is patience and experience, but not an inside skill. And Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe,Taylor and Dawson if he mastered this. He handpicks very well.
Curious as to where Castillo and Mayweather stand with respect to each other. Castillo outworked him on the inside of their first fight in my view, and though Floyd clearly beat him in a rematch, it wasn't mostly fought on the inside. But Floyd went on to improve upon his inside game against very good fighters. atsch
