hes a durable fighter. yeah, he beat berto who is a bit overrated but he did it impressively. floyd looked a bit vulnerable vs cotto and cotto aint the same fighter he used to be. guerrero still in his prime. :smoke

should be a tough fight. inactivity and jail stint will do more harm than good for floyd

We are the hardcore boxing fans. We have a pretty good idea of how this fight is going to play out. I don't speak for everybody but in my opinion Guerrero is hopelessly overmatched. He has heart and talent but is not an elite fighter.

I don't rate his wins at welter as high as some people do. He struggled at times with both Aydin and Berto who are both sub par and overrated.

In short, it is not impossible for Guerrero to win. However, it is very unlikely. Hard to get excited about a fight when you can see the outcome from a mile away.

But hey. We get to watch one of the most technically gifted boxers of all time do his thing against a decent opponent. So it's not all bad.

I do wish Mayweather would take on a big challenge like a Martinez though. That would be AWESOME.

It's not as much as underestimating Guerrero...

as acknowledging how good Mayweather is.

if robert was fighting someone else besides floyd id give him a 50/50 chance. but hes fighting the best fighter of this era and i give him little to no chance of winging. i think robert is a good fighter but thats about it.

..and then tested negative the following day in his follow up exam at LabCorp.

If you're gonna bring it up, make sure you bring the whole thing up. :deal

Jail stint that was like what, 3 weeks?

Guerrero's going to get his ass kicked.

Because they don't like Mayweather. It accomplishes three things for them:

    1) They can discredit the win immediately if Mayweather puts on a great performance.
    2) They can say Mayweather is ducking/can't beat Fighter X because the fight was competitive.
    3) If Mayweather loses, they can discredit his entire career and say he was never any good to begin with.

    /end thread.

    Their agenda is so transparent.

Exactly this. Guerrero is about on the level of Bradley (that would be a great fight btw), a really solid/good fighter, that just falls short of the elite. Unless Mayweather has slipped significantly since the Cotto fight, he shouldn't have much trouble handling The Ghost after the first few founds.
