he has to know how ridiculous he sound when he spews that trash. He can't possibly believe it. He must just be hyping the fight.

 

Props to Floyd for being a 36 yr old fighter coming off a year layoff, and jail stint, and choosing to fight a bigger opponent.

 

Floyd will seem 10 times bigger than Berto when they get in the ring together.

What this dude fails to realize is that although he looks strong Berto physically has not shown that he can out muscle anyone, he has balance issues, he gets confused during fights, has no inside game, no jab, low ring I.Q. and tends to not let his hands go...

When things aren't going well for him in there he seems to lose confidence, he doesn't have the natural ability to adjust, he relies on his speed and athleticism to overwhelm his opponent, the boy is muscular up top but has a skinny foundation...

When Robert gets into the ring with Mayweather who has shown that he is physically strong, has great balance, arguably the smartest fighter in the game today, a good jab, good power, great defense and adapting to his opponent is second nature for him, Casper the friendly Ghost will realize he can't just bull rush Floyd during the first round, from there he will get picked apart, average power, average defense, average speed and no physical advantage spells doom for this guy...

 

TECHNICALLY you can't call it a layoff because Floyd chooses to fight so seldomly

How much did Donaire earn in his 4 total fights last year?

 

A better question is, why the **** not? For someone who calls themselves 'Money' and demands a min of what, $35 mill a fight. Who in their right mind would prefer 35 over 70?

 

I'm not talking about how much Floyd makes, he obviously gets paid more than anyone else.

If he chooses to make more by turning each fight into more of an event that's all good but it's a poor ex post justification to hype a matchup/performance/opponent "he's coming off a layoff it should be good"
