    chavez has decent power because he is 180 lbs, if he goes up to that weight he gets ko'd as his main asset is gone.

    IB, your underating Chavez. While he lacks skills, his size, Iron Chin, & good power make him a top5 Middleweight. He was seconds away from KOing Top 5 p4p Maravilla, & if he starts earlier next fight he can do.it IMO. HE stops guys like Geale, Barker, easily IMO

    He doesn't get credit for managing to slip a punch into a concentration lapse on the part Sexy, who thoroughly dominated Chavez for the entire fight. That's on Sexy. He ****ed up. And at the end of the day, Chavez couldn't capitalize on it and was completely schooled.

    If say Floyd Mayweather fought Cornelius Bundrage, and the first eleven went exactly how you'd expect and then in the final minute or two Floyd made some incredibly stupid mistake and got caught and slightly hurt but still rode it out and took the UD - it wouldn't mean K9 is on the same level as PBF. It wouldn't mean a rematch was needed. It wouldn't mean there was any doubt as to how much distance separates them in terms of quality.

    There's as much distance between Martinez and Chavez as between Mayweather and Bundrage (another guy with no skill who like Chavez Jr. gets by and grabbed a belt with nothing but size, strength and durability). Very useful analogy, if I do say so. :think
