Broner still calling himself MR HBO and he doesnt wait in line at DMV {VIDEO}

I like him because like it or not, it takes guts to act that arrogent and constantly put on a show. I'd know I'd be afraid of looking like an idiot, which he does a lot of the time, but he does it anyway because he knows it the most effective way to market himself. Plus I like him because I enjoy his in ring style.

 

It takes guts to look like a fool too. The funny thing is Adrien's shtick is incredibly forced and corny as hell. His gift is with his hands....his mouth is detrimental to his image because he doesn't seem to have the ability to control it and produce anything that's really funny. His DMV vid wasn't bad at all and he'd have a LOT more fans if he toned his shtick down a bit....but he's arrogant, ignorant and young.....he has some time where he can mature.

Love what he does in that ring though...I just hope all his out of the ring antics and trying to live up to this persona doesn't affect his career.

 

I don't know, I don't think it detrimental to his image. Look at Andre Ward. Nobody at all knows who he is and he doesn't get anywhere near the love on HBO that Broner gets.

Broner is going for the "Shock Value" which is marketing 101.....you ever see a train wreck? Most people think it's terrible but they just can't look away...not necessarily they are a FAN of the end result but it's just human nature to be drawn to destruction or destructive behavior.

DLH and Ray Leonard are guys with a lot of popularity mainly for their abilities but was exponentially enhanced due to their humility, respect and marketability as prize fighters.

Andre is more like DLH or Ray than Broner or Floyd....but I guarantee Andre's image and marketability will age like a fine wine...his in and out of the ring approach will garner him a lot more business opportunities that are outside the sport than Adrien. Broner is Mr. Right now.....his skills are unquestioned as is his talents....but will his life style and "wannabe" image negatively affect his longevity. If history is any indication of the future then Broner has some things to worry about.
