He is not good enough to beat a top 25 fighter in the HW divison, it is as simple as that.

Doesn't matter who Demori,Leapai,Haumono or Browne fight one way or another weather it's now or later they would eventually have to meet a top seeded fighter or a top 10 to get to the top.IMO it's the managers fault for not chasing the big fights but it all comes down to $$ to make it happen, they need to make some noise overseas, this goes for all our heavies & they need to train full-time as none of our top 3 haven't got the luxury of except Demori. Imagine if they had trained fulltime the difference it would of made to Browne,Leapai & Haumono.

A well matched fight for somebody of Leapai's ability.

at least alex is not ducking anybody.

he has at least proven that he will fight better fighters. doesn't mean he will be able to get them to face him everytime though.

I understand its not easy to get decent heavies to come here, so at least he is getting in the ring for the time being.

people praising lucas and Solomon for stepping up, but giving alex stick. toney is a laughing stock of boxing, and although solo's opponent is good, its his first proper step up. so I wouldn't go attacking alex too much really.

Your point might have merit with Solo but Browne has already gone overseas, fought and seems to be working to increase his profile. Whilst I agree with your observation re Toney he is a money name that will give some needed cash to the Browne camp.

Alex talked himself up in articles and seemed to want to build momentum in his career - fighting some padded African in a gym hall in front of his relatives is not the way.:deal

browne going o'seas means nothing. its who the opponents r that matter. lucas' were pathetic. praising him for catching a PLANE is pretty funny imo.

solo at least fought a guy with a winning record who had beaten chauncy who had a half decent record/ranking. it was an ok opponent. and nobody gave solo a chance to beat the jap either btw.

the point is alex has a proven record to face tough challengers. a couple of limited opponents in between is nearly always going to happen while he fights out of Australia.

If Browne did not go overseas there would be ten of you complaining about Aussie fighters never travelling to try and get better fights.:yep

Browne trying to get Price (not his fault he did not) for the amount of time in the sport and experience is well above Alex now aiming at John Napari after being in with far better in the past. With the contacts developed I am sure we will see more of Browne moving forward this year and more opportunities.

sugar coat browne all u like, name dropping means nothing. u can't give alex stick and then praise browne for doing something he hasn't done yet.

Napari's last 5 opponents have a combined record of 0-20-0 his career opponents have a combined record of 8-42-0.

For the cost of flying in the african and paying him (probably cheap) you probably coul dhave found a better South American for the same $$ or even a C-Level yankwhod perform better. Napari is really a Cruiserweight and not really a big one at that.

Would be a shame if Leapai lost...

That is incorrect and not the reason why his title was taken from him.

A little homework, may stop a biased post mate. :thumbsup

Well that last opponent drew with Leapai and Cronje so don't be too harsh on him:lol:

With every fight like this that Leapai takes at this stage of his career, he becomes less relevant. At least Solo seems to be taking his boxing seriously now and testing himself. With Leapai and Browne you have one going up and one coming down, they might be able to meet in the middle at the moment but Leapai needs Lucas, not the other way around.
