It's like saying JC Chavez wasn't a genius. You don't have to be flash to be a great fighter. Ability to occupy space, use angles, fight with maximum efficiency, pace a fight, trigger opponents, test their weaknesses - Lomachenko possesses it all, and more. Some of the arguments are like comparing strawberries and onions at the moment. Would Ali have beaten Liston in his first pro outing, or Leonard have beaten a more experienced Benitez when SRL made his pro debut? No chance. But that doesn't mean to say Lomachenko hasn't got the props to move through the professional ranks very quickly and become a dominant force in professional boxing. Will Lomachenko ultimately be a more successful pro than Gamboa, Rigondeaux, and Broner? Time will tell, but my feeling is that he will.
I didnt even mention rigo national championships or other achievements either but okay.He got handed 12 dec losses by the judges which is not the same as losing 12,rigo claims he got robbed multiples & it's true as it was confirmed to me by a couple fighters & coaches who were there live(He also beat former p4p fighter gamboa twice in Cuba).Rigo is technically better & considered the greatest amateur by most fans/experts just like Robinson is in the pros, that's all that matters.Respect vasyl a lot I do.Think he has more potential than Rigo in the pro's cause of his pro-style, but to say vasyl is clearly better or that you can't argue rigo is more accomplished wouldn't be accurate at all.You're obviously a huge Loma fan so wouldn't expect you to agree or understand.
By far Rigo. I watched him among amateurs and he was invincible in his mediocre game. When he was on top, no one could even hit him. The problem is that when he and guys like Solis and Gamboa were amateurs, they were disciplined and well watched. They couldn't break every day their regimen, otherwise they risk all their future. In pros with all the money around, they go easily, using their pure talent.
All you did was go wiki and look at the side bar, that included his wins at things like the pan American games and the short lived World Cup. Lomachenko has won more major competitions, fact. You don't get robbed 12 times, I've watched a lot of Rigo's amateur fights and he gets hit. I'm a huge Rigo fan as well, but Lomachenko was quantifiably the better amateur with his record and accomplishments. You can't argue with that, objectively Lomachenko was the better amateur.
12 losses doesn't indicate that you're invincible and he got hit in every fight he had, which is to be expected with his style. Mario Kindelan appeared the more invincible boxer with that style in the amateurs when he was at his best.
Lomachenko is the greatest amateur ever when you look at records and accomplishments. 396-1 with multiple Olympic golds and world champs, still only 25 and turning pro this year.

I think Rigo v Donaire is 50/50, if Rigo avoids any big shots he'll win because he's the better boxer. I'm nervous about that fight.
I would side with Rigondeaux, Lomachenko however is also an excellent amateur who I feel will transition perfectly into the pro game
Yes I have it 50-50 or slight 55-45 edge to either.I've wanted this fight for a good while now.Wish he would've had two more bouts under his belt before this bout or at at least the poonswat fight.Oh well should be a good one anyway.I'm very confident in Rigo ability,just hope his chin holds up.Well of to see the other Ukrainian on fnf.............That was fast lol(These Ukrainians are some tough fighters respect).
