Tony is a good fighter no doubt but this isn't going to be a blow out, its a true 50/50 in my view. You can get Chilemba fights to download on the net but I'm not risking a ban by telling you where in open forum :thumbsup
Bellew ain't ****! He hasn't fought anyone that's come to win since he fought Nathan Cleverly and he lost. Danny McIntosh didn't try to win, Edison Miranda was a tough fighter a few years ago but was 5 years and 2 weight divisions past his best and Roberto Bolonti was a joke who came to survive. Aside from those three "learning fights" and losing to Cleverly he fought the journeyman Ovill McKenzie twice, went life and death with him in the first fight and even then needed a BS stoppage to secure the win and the second time he ran for his life for 12 rounds.
No worries mate I gotta log off now anyway so not got time for a trawl thru stuff. Lookin forward to the fight a bit more now then if there really is more to Chilemba than my snap judgement!
More or less my thoughts exactly.I think tomorrow we are really going to see a new star and it ain't gunna be Bellew I'm.afraid
C'mon now. Those guys came to win but they just didn't have the skills to do it. This is my point about Tony. Everyone is talking about what a great boxer he is but the guys he outboxed were crude as hell and just tried to clobber him with a haymaker. Chilemba is nothing like them whatsoever and this will be a real test to see how Tony copes with a guy who can move and has some smarts. It's a real pick 'em fight in my book.
Chilimbas a class act. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-HpkBJaJ9g heres bellew in contrast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S86wq1dOgcY
Im not sure Eddie Hearn would agree with that! It sells, it generates interest, both positive and negative. Either way, what ever diagnosis anyone makes from Bellew's manner, one thing is for sure, the guy has passion, passion in abundance, he's not in this for money, he's not in this to avoid anyone, this is a man who is on this planet doing exactly what he was put here to do! FIGHT, Tony Bellew is a fighters fighter!
More to do with the fact he was told to retire from the sport for two years but was back in the ring 6 months later beating up an undefeated fighter on two weeks notice.
Tony is in this for the money. He says he's doing this for his family. Nothing wrong with that either. How it should always be.
I don't really give a **** what Hearn wants or thinks....My statement was in response to the comment about Bellew being humble. It only sells when the person mouthing off delivers on his promise...If he says that he is going to batter his opponent, knock him from pillar to post and then does the exact opposite then the paying public will only buy that for so long. Haye got pelters for this but Bellew gets a pass :huh
This fight reminds me a lot of Froch-Pascal in many ways. Just the way they are both set up in their careers, so much on the line. Wouldn't be surprised if they both put themselves on a higher plateau with their performances tomorrow night, win or lose.
Bellew gets a pass for everything on here. I remember before he posted on here him getting slated when he won a 6 rounder vs a nobody on a Friday Fight Nights undercard and he ran up to the camera and shouted "Im the best light heavyweight in the country already". Now he goes around disrespecting everybody he faces and he lied to all of us on here about his weight before the Cleverly fight at the 02 and when I said its out of order i got slated.
