You can't wait for Lomachenko to get sparked? Might have a long wait as there's no evidence that his chin's there for the taking.

Anyway, what kind of ****** are you? You want a great talent to "get sparked" because you don't like the hype around him. Lomachenko doesn't hype himself up; people talk about him because of his achievements.

What's wrong with wanting to see Lomachenko or other great talents turn pro' , do well and be involved in great fights with the best in the world? Fights you can talk about for years.

I have to laugh at all these xbox warriors who trash talk from behind computer screens about boxers who've more talent than they could ever dream of.

there's already a few lomatards making delusional threads and he hasn't even turned pro yet, if he becomes a successful pro it's gonna be outa control with hype.

That's because idiots like you who dismiss amateur achievements are going to be jumping on the bandwagon when he's dominating the pro game.
Everybody will be going on about Lomachenko and wondering where he came from. Look how much hype Golovkin and Broner get without beating anybody elite, with a bit of hype from HBO. If HBO get behind any fighter you have fans coming from nowhere. Lomachenko has far more potential than anybody in boxing, that potential has been realised in the amateur game and I expect that to continue in the pro ranks.
If Lomachenko finishes 50-0 and talked about as an ATG I'd talk about him exactly the same as now, it's almost what I expect of him.
If he fails and looks ordinary as a pro I'd be shocked, but I wouldn't continue to make excuses and pretend that he's something he's not like *******s, *****s etc. do. I'll be the first to put my hand up and say I was wrong about him. I'm a fan of many fighters but I'm not one eyed about any of them, I see flaws in every fighter. Apart from Lomachenko at this point, his boxing game is flawless up to 5 rounds. Maybe that will change when he's making a lot of money and fighting over 12 rounds. I don't see why it would, but anything is possible.

Yep. I'm sure TS is right though if Lomachenko takes on a gauntles of opponents as challenging as Demetrius has

What's happening with Andrade? I thought he looked really good at the 2007 Worlds, I've only seen a couple of his pro contests against bums. He always looked like he could be good, guys like him and Russell are just wasting their talent and killing their boxing skills by beating these unprofessional guys in the 'professional' game.
That's why I think the WSB is a great idea, bridging the gap. Most of the fighters in the WSB are far better than the scrubs a prospect typically faces in their first 15 or so 'pro' contests, it allows fighters to progress in the 'pro' game without having to waste time and talent blowing out city council workers. They don't have to risk their 0 while they learn and improve their boxing game. And we all know that 0 is so important to fans and promoters of the 'pro', or should I say 'money' game.

I don't understand why it bothers you that some boxing fans show some enthusiasm towards a talented amateur.

i don't dimiss it and i think lomachenko can be a champ for sure. i like his style too, i don't dislike him i dislike the hyping of a guy who hasn't beaten one significant fighter in a pro fight as the next p4p king. he should have turned pro long ago as well. he could have already been a champ by now which is much better and more important than the olympics when you've already proven yourself as the best am and won olympic gold

He looked better in 08 & wasn't even the best amateur at the London Olympics.

Some of the praise he gets on ESB is ridiculous, people saying he is flawless & perfect, that he is as skilled as Whitaker & SRL, that he will dominate the pros & be a p4p #1

Lomos may well end up being more annoying & delusional than the worst Klittards

Not many people win two Olympic golds, and at different weights. Not to mention that he is the first Ukrainian to win two golds. That's historically significant and obviously meant a lot to Lomachenko. Lomachenko originally wanted to turn pro after the worlds in 09 but his father (and trainer) wanted him to develop further in the amateur ranks, and Vasyl trusts his fathers judgement. He is fighting in the WSB now which is essentially pro boxing, no headgear and pro scoring over 5 rounds. His contract is finished in May and then he's turning pro, at the age of 25. His experience in the amateurs and Wsb will mean that he can be moved very quickly, just look at Rigo. Vasyl is much younger and already has a far more pro style than Rigo does as well. So he'll have a good 10 years fighting at the top level of the pro game. I think he's done it perfectly so far and really set himself up. Looking back on a career and you see gold medallist that's a hell of an achievement, if you see double gold medallist with a fantastic pro career you know that is something really special.

He won't be getting sparked anytime soon.

Anyway, why do you "hope" this happens? Just cos he's building a following? Like its been said, he isn't a loud mouth hyping himself... talented kid that looks extremely handy.
