Can any of these challenge for or even win a world title.Gary Buckland,Lee Selby,Stephen Smith,Kevin Satchell and Paul Butler. For my money Satchell looks a class act but the lower weights are tough for us brits.Selby and Buckland look monsters and selby has flair to go with it so would be my choice to be the pick of the bunch
I am interested to see how Satchell develops. There are a lot of excellent fighters in the lower classes, so too early to tell if this lot will make it to a world title. But depending on who holds belts at the time, and with decent matchmaking anything can happen. They need to keep on improving and hope they don't plateau at British or European level
For Satchell and Butler it will be really difficult to get the right fights that will develop them into world class fighters, mainly because Fly and Super-fly domestically is so poor. Buckland is tough as nails and strong as a bull, he could go far at 130. Such a shame he's with Hatton and isn't getting regular fights. Selby will be a champion, no doubt in my mind. The kid has all the tools.
Selby is the obvious choice. I haven't seen much of Buckland though. Maybe I should give him a look as what people are saying sounds interesting to me.
Go on YouTube and search for Selby Buckland sparring mate, absolute warfare and Buckland hasn't even got a head guard on :rofl
I watched that one the other day, no holds barred ****. I also watched a vid of Selby sparring in an American gym. I think he was sparring the guy his trainer was on about at the Hearn signing press confrence.
