You take Roys word do you?

You do know Roy still believes he could whoop any fighter around??
You do know Roy STILL believes he is not washed up??

He deserves credit in that he got the win.

But, one should take into account HOW he got the win. Griffin WAS giving Roy a good fight, however, he was still down on two cards, and Roy had dropped him. The DQ wasn't unreasonable, but, one should still remember that Roy was officially winning at that point.

Plus, the 1 round KO in the rematch pretty much settled supremacy between the two.

Yes he deserves credit. The only opoent to be even remotly competive with Jones before was Hopkins in 1993.

Nah, he knew Roy was coming on and wanted the easy way out. And he definitely doesn't deserve credit for the full sprint he was doing to get away from Jones in the 5-10 seconds before he goes down.

I just watched the fight again and Griffin was winning the fight. He landed numerous flush shots and made RJJ look average. Really, RJJ wasn't doing much until he KD Griffin in the last round. Griffin was countering RJJ well and just made life difficult for RJJ. I do think RJJ would've finished the deal had he not been DQ but nothing is for sure as Griffin was having a great night.

Eric Harding gave RJJ a heck of a fight too. Harding had to quit after the 10th round because his arm muscle ripped but it was competitive.

I agree. I think some people think that Tarver did nothing else but beat RJJ.

I had him beating G. Johnson twice. He KOed Griffin. He KOed Harding. And if he adds Woods, that would be some of the best LHW's of our era. Tarver just had a style that wasn't pretty but he beat some good fighters.

He gets no credit in my book. He gave Roy some trouble early on. However, started to turn it up and was on his way to knocking Ice out. Furthermore, I believe Ice was faking it.

He got hit twice whille he was down, he then looked at the ref for some help. At this point, I believe he knew his ass was done had he got up. Knowing he had no chance to beat Roy straight up, he took the ***** way out. He dropped his head, and pretended like he couldn't get up. He was awarded a dq win and he went around bragging as though he earned a legitimate win over Roy.

Not only does Ice not get any credit for this "win" against Roy, he actually drops a few notches in my book for his disgraceful actions.

So you think Griffin was faking that he was hurt? Have you considered the possibility that it could've been a delayed reaction? I mean the first hit didn't have much behind it but the second one, RJJ put everything behind it with the left hook.

:good My thoughts exactly. I've always maintained that he could've got up. The muh ****er looked around, realized what the deal was, then pretended like he couldn't get up. ****in disgraceful.
