Really poor I must say, the performance and the interview. This coming from a Yank who's been pro-Bomber all the way.
it just feels like hes at his level. he had every advantage going for him last night and despite a draw i think most people on here would not have been upset if he lost. it seems hes boxing at his level and coming up a touch short. the complete denial about his shortcoming doest look well on him either. i know hes got to talk himself up, but all this talk of dying in the ring just doesnt match with what we are seeing.
To be honest, I really like Bellew, he seems a sound bloke on here and I get a kick out of his 'mad ****' personality but he didn't look good last night. I don't mean to be too harsh on him but for a supposed world class boxer his timing is absolutely dreadful. Chilemba's a good fighter but no world beater either and he made Bellew miss by a mile all night. I think Bellew is gonna struggle to ever win a world title unless he catches someone on a real off day or lands a hail mary punch.
:deal I agree but I think too much is being made of it. He didn't look good at all, but Chilemba's one of those fighters it's impossible to look good against. He's fast, defensive and doesn't fight inside. His timing was terrible with wild right hands missing wayward but maybe Tony wasn't expecting him to be that fast and slippery?!
Yeah, for absolute sure Chilemba must be a tough guy to look good against. But you know, if your talking about Bellew being a possible world champion you wouldn't expect someone to be able to make him miss time and time again for 12 rounds. Honestly I feel like a bit of a **** for saying this because Tony seems proper sound on here and I wanna get behind him but he just didn't look good in there last night. Like I say the only way I can see him winning a world title is if he catches someone on a really bad day at the office or lands a one in a million punch.
Sounds like the same script he used after the Cleverly fight. That's twice he has lost after stinking he Echo arena out. Those Scousers are deluded if they fall for Bellew a third time.
what will they do with bellew now?? dont think anyone wants to see a rematch and if they did he would probably lose take him down another mandatory route with a different organisation hope a champion gives him shot as voluntary defence have him operate at british european level target a cleverly rematch that would be a decent british fight move up in weight and give that a try
Yeah he is, it's about time he drops this mentalist act pre fight telling everyone he's a destroyer it's getting boring now as he clearly isn't.
He needs to rebuild as everyone thinks he's a **** now. An apology for acting like a **** then a fight with Grachaev next would be ideal for Tony.
