Golovkin is supposed to fight on HBO in June/July and if he can't secure a MW belt holder or top contender like Macklin/Barker he should go for a SMW instead of a non top 10 MW. Lee, Bursak, Rubio are the lowest quality MW's they should accept and the SMW's below are a better option than those if thats all they can get.

Steiglitz is WBO Champion and should be confident after the Abraham rematch while Balzsay is WBA Regular Champion and former WBO Champion and both are 6'0 SMW's. Oosthuizen is a fight i was excited about when it was being discussed and perhaps it can be revived. Rodriguez who was also mentioned before is tied up but perhaps if Erdei could get down to 168 he would be willing after the Grachev loss.

Something needs to happen for this guy while all the eunuchs in the MW division are busy running in the other direction.

There is absolutely NO REASON for Geale to avoid him anymore. The Mundine fight is out of the way. But will he take the fight? I highly doubt it.

He needs to fight someone with a pulse, he's proven absolutely nothing except that he can bowl over C/D level guys and look impressive.

Soliman beat Sturm and became Geale's mandatory but then tested positive after the fight. I never heard if his B sample was positive too. Does the fight result stand or are they having a rematch? Regardless Geale should have time to fight a voluntary before that has to take place but i would be suprised if it was Golovkin.

Why not even drop down to '54? And aim for Alvarez/Trout/Angulo

It really doesn't matter where he goes, people love to see him fight. Period. Cant wait to see Gennady back on HBO in June. @ MW fights with Vera, Lee or Macklin would be fine.

Cant see Stieglitz risk it while he waits for the third Abraham fight, or any other SMW. They can't keep running forever. Chavez, Geale or Martinez will be forced into a Golovkin fight by the end of the year. It's time to unify those belts, punks.

Geale would get sparked the **** out, which he probably reckons is a perfectly feasable reason to keep avoiding him.

    - You're probably right about Steigltz but they should try at least for him or Balzsay

    - Macklin doesnt seem to want it

    - I doubt Lee who is rebuilding and a little fragile would want to face the hardest hitting guy in the division

    - I dont consider Vera any better than Ishida. If Vera is somehow his mandatory (FFS) he should try for a better opponent for the summer HBO date and just fight Vera like a month later destroying him on ESPN FNF or something.

    - Alvarez, Trout, Angulo would all be good but Canelo sure as **** wont happen, doubt Trout would risk his new elite status and name recognition to take on the most avoided MW, Angulo maybe.

    Why not Barker or Macklin?

Be interesting to see how GGG does compared to Sergio.

Eddie Hearn admits that he wouldn't put Barker in a ring with Golovkin, and also claims that Macklin turned down a fight with GGG.

ggg has at least 4 - 5 prime years, bitches cant duck him forever. GGG - sturm is a very good fight from a financial standpoint, there are many russian-german emmigrants here(many are from kazakhstan), who are ggg's fans, gennadiy also speaks german. Sturm is not in a good position now, he should take that fight, its his last chance.

why am i wasting my time and energy? everybody knows sturm is a *****...

The problem is that once GGG starts beating up super middleweights, no MW in their right mind would want to fight him. Golovkin needs to fight the ones down on their luck for at least another year.

Proksa - had balls but no chance for exposure. Basically had no choice - he HAD to take the fight.
Rosado - same as Proksa. No chance in hell to get exposure with his 21-5 record.
Ishida - 37 years old with three consecutive losses. Last chance ever to get a payday.

So Golovkin's HBO date in June...do not get your hopes up. It will be some guy like Brian Vera, Vanes Martyrosyan, Carlos Molina or even James Kirkland.
