Golovkin by decision dropping Martinez a few times in the process.

Darren Barker (Baker) was able to touch Martinez a little bit. Barker has that straight up shell defense, walking forward, flicking the jab. A little bit like Golovkin only not nearly as good. It's an extremely dangerous fight for Martinez. It'd be great to see, because on the other end of the spectrum, Golovkin hasn't been hit with a Martinez straight left, how will he react? GGG has goods, he's got the talent, and most importantly he seems to have a high boxing I.Q. I want to see him against world class competition, let's see how all that translates. If I had to pick, I'd probably bank that Golovkin is the real deal and he stops Martinez.

Martinez by decision in a very technical fight.

Huge Martinez fan, and don't think GGG is as good as is being hyped, but at this point Id still favor GGG to stop Martinez late after a tough tough fight.

If this was a few years ago Id pick Martinez, but hes slowing down and he has a style based on a dwindling athleticism.

A primed GGG beats an almost 40 year old Martinez at this point, imo.

Chavez Jr vs GGG, winner fights Martinez.

    That would be heaven.

    Ridiculous.. just ridiculous

Who has Golovkin beat to signify that this would even be a semi competitive fight. Martinez outboxes him and beats him to pulps.

Same **** could have been said about Taylor prior to Hopkins, Pavlik prior to Taylor, or Martinez prior to his run over the last few years. It's all faulty logic.

Good points but GGG's jab will be less effective against a southpaw, Martinez's right hand would be in the way and Martinez would be moving to his left (GGG's right) so GGG would have to lead with his right hand. If he can throw it while stepping into it (bringing his right foot forward) Martinez would duck and as his head goes back up GGG could follow up with a left hook while turning his whole body into the shot. It could be devastating. That's the combination I would tell him to throw if I was training him for the fight.

I think Martinez is the only one that can take Golovkin at 160 now. I had Martinez on decision I dont think GGG can jab and connect on Martinez like he did this last fight. I definately want to see this fight, 2 really good fighters I like to follow.

It's kind of easy pick, Martinez UD or Golovkin KO/TKO
I have voted for Golovkin via stoppage
Considering Martinez is 37+ that engine going to blow

I'd favour Golovkin to stop Martinez, probably mid to late rounds whilst behind on the scorecards
