I am a longtime fan of Showtime over HBO, but HBO has had two guaranteed FOTY candidates in the span of two or three weeks. Gotta give them credit for the matchmaking.

Broner vs Malignaggi, Judah vs Garcia, and Ponce vs Mares don't really intrigue me. None of them really strike me as 50/50 fights.

Hopefully it'll force ****ing HBO to start showcasing more competitive fights (something that Showtime has alwasy excelled at) rather than seeing them do the usual and pit marqueee fighters against over-matched opponents.

Oscar mentioned yesterday that he cancelled his HBO. He doesn't understand this is about boing and what fights the promotion puts up. Boxing fans don't care about Arum or Oscar and how much money they make, they want good fights. Whoever puts on the fights I will watch it i I can. I don't have showtime just because it cost too much money, but if Oscar puts on the better fights I might go to showtime, but I won't do it for any sort of loyalty to GoldenBoy.

When I hear people don't have both I'm like are you just going to miss Canelo vs Trout, I'm sure Oscar was watching those fights.

yeah I know I will miss. Makes me upset, but I can follow it here on ESB. Oscar announced on twitter last night that he cancelled his HBO subscription, which led many people to tell him they don't care about the feud, they want good fights. I don't think he answered them. Arum and Oscar really think people care about their promotions. Boxing fans want the fights and these two guys are hurting boxing when they start competing on different channels and similar nights. Although in a way, the fact Oscar can compete with Arum with his boxing programs shows how well his promotions have done.

HBO is winning so far, but man, Showtime's summer lineup looks terrific. Going to be a few months straight of great fights.

I have both so I really don't care that hbo is gonna lose a lot of marquee fights. But damn I'm gonna miss hearing that awesome ass voice that does 24/7. Is leiv Shreiber(I think that's his name) exclusively hbo?
